Ascent Children's Book Prize accepts submissions of picture books, chapter, middle-grade and young adult. 

 

At Ascent Children's Book Prize, every entrant receives free access to a membership area, and writers from under-represented groups are given an additional chance to shine via our highly commended awards.

 

Open to un-agented writers from across the world, Ascent Children's Book Prize is open from mid-February to the 1st July each year. Submit your opening, a one-line pitch and a one page synopsis (or in the case of picture books, the text of up to 3 books). Submission requirements can differ according to the age you are writing for and the length of your book.
